FLÄTPÄCK

You know the store. Arrows on the floor, no way out except past the checkout. Now you have to send a robot through it.

FLÄTPÄCK is a daily programming puzzle. You don't steer the robot - you write its instructions. Stack up Forward, Go to wall, Left, Right and Loop blocks, hit RUN, and watch it try to collect everything on the list and reach the checkout.

Everyone gets the same showroom each day, built from the date. Same store, same list, same starting tile, anywhere on the planet. The job is to solve it in as few commands as you can.

How it works

• Build a program out of movement blocks. Loops repeat a sequence, and "Go to wall" sends the robot straight across an aisle until it hits a shelf - because typing Forward eleven times is nobody's idea of a good evening.
• Grab every item on the shopping list, then reach the checkout.
• Fewest commands wins, steps break ties. Running is free and unlimited, so iterate as much as you like.
• Submit to the global daily leaderboard. Share your result. Come back tomorrow for a new store.
